We are so excited to be starting a new year at Aikin Elementary! One of our most exciting endeavors for the 2011-2012 school year is the implementation of TAP (Teacher Advancement Program). Last school year we applied for the TAP Grant and were thrilled to learn that we would be one of the recipients of this fantastic program! Teachers will receive weekly staff development and will be learning new and innovative teaching strategies thoughout the school year to use in their classroom with students. We are certain that this will bring wonderful professional growth for teachers and will ultimately allow every student at Aikin to reap the benefits. The staff at Aikin is committed to providing the best education possible for our students and we look forward to this new opportunity. Join us this year as we experience this exciting metamorphosis in education! |
